2018 Chateau Trimoulet

Vintage 2018. 1st year in Trimoulet. Discovery of this small vineyard that we decide directly to work with an attitude the most respectful of the environment. A very complicated vintage in St Emilion by the heat and humidity but succeeds well in Trimoulet. The warm years go particularly well in Trimoulet which is located on rather cold lands. The fight against frost was optimal and the manualand meticulous work in the vineyard made it possible to bring the fruit to the maturity we wanted. The work in the cellar was only an accompaniment of the fruit that became wine to be improved thanks to the aging of the wine in barrels. We have a very well balanced wine that has kept a very nice freshness.

2019 Chateau Trimoulet

2018 and 2019 are a bit similar. 2nd vintage in Trimoulet. We began to understand the terroir a little better and to understand the potential more. It is very interesting and the vintage still complicated at the beginning of the season still offers us the opportunity to release a very nice product.

2018 Chateau Trimoulet, 88, Drink

A juicy, ripe St Emilion red with plenty of dark plum fruits, chocolate interlaced with cedar and savory herbs. A generous, full bodied wine with forward flavors that reveal the warm vintage.

2019 Château Trimoulet, 90, Young,  Peak: 2023

A delicious, well crafted St Emilion red with good intensity and balance. Although the tannins and flavors are concentrated and tightly wound, the palate still has lift and freshness – flavors range from cassis, red plums to cedar. Best with several more years of bottle age.

2019 Chateau Trimoulet, 92~93

This is already so integrated and melted together with pretty fruit and fine tannins that have energy and focus. Medium to full body. Fine finish. Making excellent wine at the moment.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Trimoulet delivers straightforward scents of backed plums and redcurrant jelly, plus suggestions of tree bark, tobacco leaf and cracked black pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate gives a good concentration of juicy black fruits. supported by soft tannins and plenty of freshness, finessing with a spicy kick.
